Robert Rogerson 12.5 KM

The race is usually held in February as part of the Kirkintilloch Festival of Running.

The race starts at 11am outside Gartconner Primary School in Kirkintilloch and is chip timed.

This 12.5 kilometre road race provides runners aged 18 years and over the opportunity to compete on a challenging course held on rural roads adjacent to Kirkintilloch and Lenzie. Held since 2006 and is now firmly established as a favourite part of many runners’ winter schedule and is ideal for those contemplating a spring marathon or half marathon.

Previously known as the Kirkintilloch 12.5 the race has been renamed in recognition of the significant contribution made to Kirkintilloch Olympians by Robert Rogerson over 25 years, including being a long serving club secretary and race organiser. Robert has been involved as race director or lead organiser for the 12.5k race since its inception, and the course remains one of the club's regular training routes.
